International Trade Week 2023, November 6-10

Brought to you by the Department for Business and Trade. Building on last year’s success, which saw thousands of businesses from around the UK take part, International Trade Week 2023 is set to be the biggest yet.


The Greater Lincolnshire LEP Annual Conference 2023, November 7

The annual conference of the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership takes place on Tuesday 7th November 2023 at the EPIC Centre, Lincolnshire Showground.


This year we are collaborating with our experts and partners to give insights and paint a picture of what our workforce could look like in the future.


There will be a major keynote speech about the workforce of the future, panel discussions on the changes in store in the workplace, and thought-provoking discussions, alongside an overview of the impact the Greater Lincolnshire LEP has had over the past 12 months.


GLEAM presents: Manufacturing for Net-Zero, November 22

The University of Lincoln’s Bridge Advanced Engineering R&D Centre, together with the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, is pleased to welcome manufacturing professionals* in the region to an exclusive event hosted by the Greater Lincolnshire Engineering And Manufacturing (GLEAM) Network, in partnership with Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult’s Operations & Maintenance Centre of Excellence (OMCE).

Hosted at the OMCE’s cutting edge facilities in Grimsby, this event aims to provide our manufacturing and engineering community with valuable insights and knowledge in the realm of energy and net-zero focused innovation.

As well as having the opportunity to connect with other GLEAM members, attendees will engage in thoughtful discussions led by industry experts, focusing on the transformative potential of electrolysis, hydrogen and nuclear fusion. You can also look forward to first-hand exposure to OMCE’s advanced innovation facilities, including demonstrations of a 5G testbed and advanced virtual reality simulation technology.

Exciting launch of new SEND Employment Forum, November 29

The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Employment Forum is a new forum bringing together local businesses, services from education, health, social care and the volunteer sector, and national organisations like the Department for Work and Pensions to meet with lead officers working with young people with SEND.

Join the forum on Wednesday 29 November from 8:30am-12pm at 155-159 Freeman Street, Grimsby, DN32 7AR (Learning4Life building).

All local businesses and organisations are invited to attend the forum to learn more about hiring young people with SEND. This is a chance to network with other organisations and leaders in SEND.

The forum will be establishing strong links between local colleges and service providers to create a strong foundation for an inclusive and diverse workforce.


Reducing the Carbon Footprint of Your Business, November 30

Hear from Chris Terry, a sustainability consultant on how he has helped the likes of Marks and Spencer, RSPB and Robinsons Brewery reduce their carbon footprint and the business benefits of embracing sustainability.

This will be followed by Dr Vicky Dunn from Grimsby Community Energy with easy to implement take aways for your business.
